Park Hee-soon at 8th Korea Film Awards

Park Hee-soon attended the 8th Korea Film Awards as a nominee for the Best Actor Award. He also announced the Supporting Actor Award (Park Hee-soon won this award in the 7th Korea Film Awards for Seven Days). Park left-empty handed but, overall, seemed to enjoy the night.

Here are a few pictures of him on the carpet looking fine. I like the look he is sporting, but in certain pictures, it does look like he has really short legs because of the combination of long jacket and bad angle. The man is still swoon-worthy, though, and he looks like he's having fun (especially the one where he's winking!)

Park announced the Supporting Actor Award, and friend, Yoo Hae-jin won. Park joked around with his name and asked that this year he not be mistaken for "Park Hwi-soon" (he is constantly confused with Park Hwi Soon 박휘순, commedian, because of their similar name). Park Hee-soon also mentioned the Supporting Actors to be the Park Ji-sung (very famous korean soccer player) of movies because both constantly work hard and are often helping others on the team in order to succeed. He then added that "Amongst the nominees, there seems to be someone who resembles Park Ji-sung" and recieved a roar of laughter from the crowd. (I thought it was really funny because I love how he's poking fun at his friend on tv!) Park Hee-soon, to add the cherry on top, then commented that "Kim Hae-soo will probably like this..."! Kim Hae-soo (korean actress) is currently dating Yoo Hae-jin (who I think look cute together... Yoo Hae-jin has this charm despite lacking in looks).

Yoo Hae-jin comes up to get his award and...

They hug! Awwww, they're so adorable!
Then Yoo gets his award.
Though Park didn't get anything, I loved him this awards ceremony. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him poking fun at his friend who looked like he was embarrassed in the shy way. I think this sort of humor works since they're friends, and people knew that they knew each other. If, for example, Daniel Choi was up there and saying some of these things, I would laugh, but there would be something bothering me in the back of my head. However, with Park, everything seemed natural; it was like old friends meeting up and joking around.

Anyways, I'm glad that Yoo won since I thought he was particularly good in Moss (the scene they played at the awards was actually the very scene that sent goosebumps up my arm because of Yoo's brilliant acting).

I doubt Park Hee-soon will get any awards this year for Barefoot Dream because it didn't do very well in the box office but more importantly, there are a lot of competition around this year meaing a lot of big name stars who are lookig for awards, too. It's okay, though. As long as Park continues to get scripts and continues to star in movies (and hopefully dramas in the future), I bet he'll be happy doing what he loves, and I will be very happy watching him doing what he loves.
