Hello, world! I'm going to warn you, this end of the year review is embarrassingly short because I didn't finish many dramas this year. I don't finish many dramas every year because I hardly ever finish sageuks (shame on me), don't really like Korean action-oriented dramas (i.e. Iris), and have a life outside of dramas that doesn't allow me to watch everything that is airing, unfortunately, but this year seemed especially low.   Just a heads-up, but I'm going to talk about three unfinished dramas because, though I didn't watch them in their entirety, I feel like I've watched enough where my opinion won't change. That doesn't mean they are the only dramas I didn't finish this year (hardly), and neither is this a list of all the 2011 dramas I've seen. Episode 5 was by far my favorite. I may sound like a broken record, but Dream High really is getting better by the episode. Ep. 5 was poignant and funny. Now the students are all at Kirin and are starting to strive for their goals. The show no longer relies solely on outside forces to cause problems. Hye-mi continues to fight against others, but the real obstacle now is herself. She has to learn that she’s not perfect and has to be able to slowly break down the wall around her heart. The drama keeps getting better which is a major plus. However, I have yet to fallen into the "can't wait for the next episode" category after finishing episodes 1-4. Hope is still not lost though! It's getting better. There were more scenes of Kang Oh-hyuk in this episode than in episode 1  or episode 2 . Kang is growing more as a character and so are the students. Overall, though I didn't want to admit it, I'm getting slightly excited for Dream High. The interaction between Kang Oh-hyuk and Hye-sung (Hye-mi's little sister) was adorable. This episode had a lot more Kang Oh-hyuk moments which means a lot more scenes of smiling Uhm Ki-joon.
