Lovepark

  I really hope Park Yong-woo has a new project on the way. His most recent movie Late Spring was awesome, and his two-episode drama was good (could have been better but satisfying). Anyways, pictures after the jump, and this time, there actually are some! Warning, Park Yong-woo is ADORABLE (as always).

It's been almost a year since I  first posted  about this movie and its casting which premiered in Korea March 12. The official English title was released, and the movie is called The Deal . I prefer "Murder Request" which I saw floating around for a while, but they chose what they chose. Though it looks like the reviews are on the negative side, I'll just readjust my expectations accordingly because how could I not watch this movie when it has such a line-up. Quick rehash of the plot: Tae-soo (Kim Sang-kyung) is a veteran police officer who catches a hit-and-run suspect who turns out to be a serial killer, Kang-chun (Park Sung-woong). Unfortunately, the last victim was Tae-soo's younger sister Soo-kyung (Yoon Seung-ah) who is married to Seung-hyun (Kim Sung-kyun) and was pregnant with their first child. Wrought with grief, Seung-hyun disappears. Three years later, Tae-soo figures out that someone is after Kang-chun who is in prison, and being unable to kill...

  Missing Noir M had their script reading where Park Hee-soon was sporting long hair, and he's keeping it. I actually like it, but really, there's very little I wouldn't like. Missing Noir M premieres March 28, Saturday and is slated for ten episodes. The production crew stated that they plan on finishing half of the drama by the premiere date. Park Hee-soon plays officer Oh Dae-young who acts on instinct and will be the opposite of Kim Kang-woo's Kil Soo-hyun who's all about facts. Trailers:

There wasn't a lot of news about projects concerning Park Hee-soon last year because he went back to his old theater troupe during the summer (pictures below). However, he signed up for an upcoming drama on OCN which starts in March. I also read a recent article saying he did sign up for the movie co-starring with Shin Ha-kyun and Ryu Seung-soo which goes into production in March. I don't know if the movie filming is accurate (though I wish it were true), but after a bit of a break, it seems like Park Hee-soon will be quite busy for a while. As a fan, I'm always excited to see him in a new role. Hopefully he at least enjoys/enjoyed his birthday. That's enough from me. Pic spam following jump!

I was planning to wait and post after official descriptions, posters, trailers, and such were released, but Park Hee-soon's hair was too much for me not to share. He's sporting the shag look again after opting for short haircuts in his most recent projects. Of course, this is just the script reading, so the characters will probably all look different, but the more I think about it, the more I actually want to see a veteran police officer sporting a fifty-fifty part. It defies norms and would be a visually distinct choice. Granted, if Kim Kang-woo is also going for the fifty-fifty, then it wouldn't be as distinct. I'm really happy Park Hee-soon is in a new project even if I did wish his next project was a movie rather than a drama. But beggars can't be choosers.

Finally, I've posted a birthday post for Park Sung-woong on time! Park Sung-woong was very busy last year, and continues to be busy this year, too, with a movie planning to premiere in March starring alongside Kim Sang-kyung and Kim Sung-kyun (so excited!). Welcome to the second Lovepark End of the Year Award: where the awards don't matter, and nobody cares! Judges: Me (as always) NOTE: There are a couple of dramas that I've watched that weren't included, and there are a couple of dramas included that I haven't finished. Thus, while not everything is included, I did try to mention most of the dramas I enjoyed this year.

It pains me that I'm four weeks behind recapping this drama because with all its flaws and predictability, I'm enjoying all the quirky antics and adorable faces of the cast. I'll try to do a roundup recap this coming week, but I couldn't bypass this chance to squee over this episode. I'll do a more formal recap a bit later, but for now, time to gush!

After quite a busy streak with three films released this year alone, there hasn't been too much news about Jung Jae-young's new project (though I'm pretty sure he's either picking or negotiating since who wouldn't want to have Jung star in their film). Anyways, pic spam following the jump like always.

Tae-joo is making great strides, and his earnest, quiet confession to Kang-shim was awesome. Also, his relationship with Eun-ho is going strong. Thus, lots of good expressions by Tae-joo this episode! It looks like Baek's plans to interfere are being thwarted, but hopefully, the Chairman soon gets aboard the Kang-shim & Tae-joo ship.
